This has absolutely convinced me to watch the Snyder Cut. I didn't really care before, no matter how much positivity there was behind it, but this breakdown was so full of passion for what was changed that I'm actually excited to see it.

One thing I noticed in both versions was cyborg's head. Maybe it was done on purpose but it just seemed floaty and not quite firmly attached to the rest of him. Snyder cut is a ton better though. The story didn't feel jumbled or rushed like the 2017 version .

it gets tiring hearing people going on and on about how Snyder let his scenes develop as opposed to the Whedon cut. It's 4 freaking hours long. Yes, he has time to make scenes longer to develop a more emotional response. It's not amazing editing or storytelling, it the exact opposite. When you have an additional 2 hours of film, you get the luxury of timing your scenes without thinking about a time limit. If anything, a good many of the scenes go on for way too long. What kind of film would Snyder released if he had to trim it to 2 hours? Yes, I enjoyed the Snyder cut of Justice League, but it's not the final opus everyone is making it out to be.

So we're just not gonna talk about how expressive Steppenwolf's eyes are?

You guys are talking about how much more they showed in the Snyder cut. With whedon cutting out stuff like the stunt people hitting the ground. Or the full wind up for swings when they were busting the pillars to the door. Or the building falling. But how much longer was the Snyder cut than the original cut? How much longer was it than a normal cinematic relesee? Of course the Snyder cut is going to be better than the original cinematic cut whe. Snyder originally filmed the movie in a way that required 4 hours to do it justice. But IMO that should not have led to praise of Snyder. He filmed something that required almost double his alloted time in order to tell a good and coherent story. To me, that's a fail.

8:35 This is an excellent example of 'Bumping the lamp' a phrase coined from a scene in Who Frame Roger Rabbit. Where if you intentionally make a shot harder for yourself and then still nail it, it sells a lot better subconsciously to a viewer.
